let nature take me-- let it save me

It has been a long time since I've been able to blog. I have to apologize about that. I recently moved and have been having a horrible time trying to metaphorically and literally clean up the mess. This move has probably been the most stressful move of my life. Regardless of the horrors of my move, I have found that my new place is quite awesome.

The weather lately has been rather unpredictable. It hailed last week (or was it the week before) and I could barely believe it! I don't know that I've seen a hail storm since I was a little girl! We also had quite the few rainstorms that blanketed the area. I don't mind the rain though. I could even go as far as to say that I love the rain. It's quite beautiful in what it does for the environment, and even more so the heart. The soft pitter-patter fills me and cleanses my soul. Just like it washes away all of the smog and toxins to reveal a gorgeous blue sky.

Anyway, since the weather has now been so amazing, I can finally wear skirts and shorts again! For this outfit, I'm wearing an adorable sweater with collar and pearl button details over an oversized satin dress. It was a very simple outfit so I threw on my kitty cat beret to add a little spunk. To complete the look, I grabbed my vintage Coach saddle bag and my favorite rose gold metal watch by Flud.

Yesterday was my birthday. Well, since I'm writing this in the wee hours of the morning, it was really the other day. I'm having a hard time believing that I've gotten another year older. In reality, I'm quite traumatized that I'm actually in my late 20s. How is it that my 20s is dwindling so quickly? I know it sounds strange since I know very well that I am still young, but sometimes I really do wish I were 18 again. Sometimes...
